Can we start adding watermarks to our images? Websites keep stealing our images. It won't stop them but we might as well get some free advertisement out of it. Maybe something can be built into our compression software to apply it like a snapchat filter!

Zach said No, Randa tried to talk him into it because its a really good suggestion, but he got pissy.

Radwell does appear in Google Shopping results. They have a watermarked images on their website and eBay, but their Google Shopping images are not watermarked.

That sounds like we would have a duplicate set of photos ( one with watermark , one without watermark ). With how limited our storage is on channel advisor, I'm sure that is not desirable. If it ever does need to be implemented, It could certainly be done.

Watermarks violate the eBay photo policy. I have not discussed this topic with our eBay advocate yet, but Ethan is correct; Radwell has watermarks on everything they publish.

Hi thanks for the request!
This would be simple for me to implement. But like lucy noted it may impact other areas of the business. I purposefully left room in the script in case we did end up wanting to add a watermark.

Just a note. Weβre listing on Google Shopping to gain more visits and Google has their photo requirement. They will not approve our listings if we have watermarks and the listings wonβt be visible on Google Shopping.
